The couple behind Calamores

Benson is from Brooklyn, Ioana is from Romania and we met in the Bay Area. We are two scientists who love to learn, grow and enjoy life. After embarking on the parenting journey and learning a lot through trial and error, we decided to help other parents find a balance between being there for their kids and being happy.

What about the Calamores name? It came up one day when our daughter trying to make up a song in Spanish. We thought it was the perfect blend of Cal (California or UC Berkeley where we both studied) and amores (love), with a touch of whimsical.
